WOMEN’S DAY CELEBRATION 2021
On 8th March 2021 International Women’s Day was celebrated in the college.
Dr. Sukanya Mary Joseph, Principal of Poorna Prajna Women’s College, Udupi inaugurated the function. In her inaugural speech madam shared about her experiences as an NCC Officer and proved that nothing can pull back the willpower of a woman. Women have immense powers which is very much imbibed in their nature itself to achieve and accomplish. Therefore madam advised all the students especially girl students to join an Indian Army and to serve the nation, thereby pointed out that nothing is impossible for a woman. Madam also mentioned about the importance of the Hindi language and its potential to unite the people.
Prof. Rohith S. Amin, Assistant Professor of Vaikunta Baliga College of Law presided over the function. Sir in his presidential address expressed about the gender stereotypes which is still prevalent in the society and felt the need of positive attitude towards women which is required for the welfare of the society.
Prof. (Dr.) Nirmala Kumari, Principal, Vaikunta Baliga College of Law and Mr. Prakash Rao, Physical Education Director graced the occassion by their prsence.
